Safety FAQs

Looking for more information on HaloCare? Check out our commonly asked questions below.

  • HaloCare’s long-lie detectors use motion detection to learn the home environment and patterns in the individual’s daily routine. The sensors can detect if there has been an extended period of time with no movement after a fall. In this instance, the sensor will alert a member of our Care Hub team to intervene.
  • Contactless sensors are camera-free devices that can be placed on the front and back door of the home to detect if doors are left open, or opened at unusual times such as the middle of the night. The HaloCare Care Hub team will be alerted in this instance and the team will check to ensure that the client is safe at home.
  • To activate the S.O.S feature, push the button located at the side of the watch. This sends an alarm in real time to the Care Hub who are on call 24/7 and will check in on the client before escalating further if required
